Understanding SIM Status

Pre-service: The initial status when a SIM is delivered; indicates no past network activity

In-service: SIMs with any network activity detected on the network layer will transition from Pre-service to In-service. Operations can be performed on a SIM when in this status.

Terminated: SIMs that have been terminated can no longer register to the network. Termination is permanent, and the SIM can no longer be In-service.

Waiting-for-assignment: SIMs that are provisioned with a blocked-whitelist for sim-transfer purpose. Does not allow any network activity until activated.
